It started as a project in class...

It developed into a connection between the Tribal communities of Montana.
Emotionally and symbolically connecting to heritage and the importance of community.

After the Launch of MT 988, my project traveled to all the reservations in montana. I got the opportunity to participate in Butte, MT at the Butte Native Wellness Center. Where individuals got to explore what 988 meant to them.

What does HOPE mean to you?

I was asked to create a banner that depeicated what I thought hope meant to me.

Hope for me is matriarchal healing, healing from our mothers, sisters, aunties, and cousins. The healing can begin within ourselves or between family and friendships. I believe this connection and healing can nurture individuals to build stronger communities.
