The Brief
Like most powwow goers, my family and I have a hard time keeping up with updated events and powwow information through social media. Having to sift through endless social media posts or not knowing what keywords to search when trying to look for new powwows in other states, it's almost impossible to find all the information to feel secure in traveling to a powwow. Having a communal app that compiles each and every event would be ideal and can be experienced right at your fingertips.
Design Intent
-
Colors and Design engaging
-
clean and organized layout to help with user navigation
-
highlighting the importance of individual powwow poster design, direct marketing for powwows
-
Content can be used as a learning and educational tool
Outcome
This app connects users to Native American Heritage in many forms. Giving the user a chance to explore the culture. You can plan, explore powwows, and save destinations.
Besides the powwow information, Sko gives users the chance to learn powwow etiquette, understand dance categories, and learn about societal news.
Brand Experience Method, Brainstorming, and Wireframing
Travel apps
Party/Event apps

To ideate the wireframe of the app, I did a comparison between travel apps and event/concert apps. Picking and choosing what interfaces worked well with the flow of my app, I started to brainstorm the important pages and information pages. Which allowed me to start my wireframe to start the mockups of user experience

After organizing the information and the destination pages. I developed a wireframe for my main pages and a layout for my destination pages.
