Fall of 2024 I became the Social Media and Marketing Director for the American Indian Council, a student lead group established in 1964. Bozeman has been my family’s home away from home, so being on the AIC committee and strengthening the Native Community surrounding Bozeman was a tremendous honor. From the months of November to April the AIC is fully incharge of curating the annual powwow in Bozeman MT. This event takes in depth planning and problem solving.

For the 49th Annual AIC Powwow of 2025, I was commisioned by the commitee to create a logo for the powwow. The theme I came up with for the powwow was empowering one another, I used animal and geometric motifs to help communicate how I saw the strength in my people. The colors represent the sunrise and how we can choose to have a positive impact on our surroundings everyday. Portraying a story and narrative was important to me for communication.

Celebrating life and lifting up one another was an important theme for the council this year. The council commissioned me for a logo that appropriately represents the MSU powwow. During the time the council was planning the powwow, there was a strong feeling of separation and division between groups. We were aware of the unfortunate mistreatment of minority groups on campus and within our Native people on their home lands.

Powwow Program
For the powwow, one of my main jobs was to create the powwow program. This program showcased pages of the head staff, advertisements, powwow information, graduation list, and the powwow itinerary.
